Press event: The future of Clothing

Stockholm Fashion Week began on januari 26th and It will finish on februari 8th. There are many activities during those days. It is a week with mode shows, seminars, expositions and press event.
The Swedish Fashion Council, Nine Yard, Wonderland event and Electrolux organized a press event this afternoon. The event was about Innovation and sustainability in the fashion industry.

They presented different topics like Sneak Peak: Mode Hybrid.  Many speakers participated.
Rami Abdel Rahman from Sweden Textile Water Initiative (STWI) talked about the Swedish Fashion´s Genius Plan to Save Water in Productions Countries.

 John Josefson (Tricorona) made an exposition called Balancing Design with Carbon Emissions - is that fun?.

Anna Ponzio from Jernkontoret spoke in her exposition, The Art of Knitting Swedish Steel, about the usage of steel.

The film "The Next Black" was screened and it has Swedish premier during the fashion week. The documentary film is about exploring the trends and innovations in the clothing.

Other participants were (Studio XO), Oskar Juhlin (Mobile Life Center), Carol Rose (WRAP), Michael Lind (Uniforms for the Dedicated), Elin Lydahl (TEKO) and Ola Nilsson (Electrolux).

It was a very interesting event. After the activity the audience could meet and talk with the speakers. The event was held at januari 27th at Opera källaren in Stockholm.
